How to Find Best Practice Processes Free of Charge

A best practice is a method or technique that has consistently shown results superior to those achieved with other means, and that is used as a benchmark. In addition, a “best” practice can evolve to become better as improvements are discovered. (WIKIPEDIA)

Sorry for not being so active writing about BPM this summer – and it wasn´t because I was on vacation. I participated in a 4-weeks training in SAP HCM. If you think it is easy to become a certified SAP consultant – think again. I thought it would be a walk over – NO. After 4 weeks and 2000 pages – my head was close to an information overload…. Throughout these 4 weeks I heard the word ‘best practice’ again and again – and read about it nights and weekends. But what is it – for some it’s a buzzword – very often said by consultants. But when you confront the so-called consultant it often leads to a pretty large bill. But not best practice!

After finishing the SAP course – one night I sat relaxing reading about SAP Solution Manager – I must admit that is pretty weird -;) But I found a true treasure from a BPM nerd perspective, a URL which lead to 2500 best practice processes! And not only containing HCM processes – also all the other areas SAP works with – which is a lot.

Wouldn´t it be nice if you could see the so-called best practice processes – without paying the consultant money. It´s actually possible to see 2500 processes made out from the best practice terminology. Made by SAP – Business Process Repository – SAP Solution Manager see  https://implementationcontent.sap.com/bpr – it´s huge. It will take some time for you to find your area interest – but it is somewhere there among the 2500 processes.

I´ve been looking for this for years – finally I found it.

Use it – for starting your BPM project up – use it for BPR – or just for fun -:)
